Hi, I’m Kristen!

Does this sound familiar to you?

I start to feel more and more agitated as I watch my two boys flailing their arms and wiggling around while avoiding eating their breakfast. Despite asking them nicely to stop fooling around, they just keep at it.

I’m on the brink of throwing my smoothie across the room, but instead I
provide them with the somewhat calmer message that I need them to listen by
loudly saying, “I’m about to lose my mind! PLEASE, stop fooling around and focus on your breakfast!”

Now, this is all before 7 am.

It’s a lovely way to start the day. Blood pressure already through the roof. And I am sounding more like a dictator than a loving mother.

So I wish I could say I started this blog to share with you how I am now a reformed yeller and my mornings are peaceful and everyone gets out the door with a smile on their face…

But the truth is, I started this blog to share with you the reality of life, so you don’t feel like you are alone in the dictatorship of motherhood.

However, I have learned some things along the way in the form of routines, productivity tips, and mindset shifts, that help your days run a bit smoother and allow more joy and productivity in your life.

I’m someone who thrives on routines and I’m obsessed with learning about other people’s routines and habits. Therefore, this blog was a no brainer for me.

I’ve also learned that when I engage in my routines, healthy habits, and monitoring my mind, I feel way less overwhelmed and enjoy motherhood more.

I hope to teach and inspire you to be intentional with your time by using routines and habits so that you feel less overwhelmed and enjoy your family more.

I also intend on using this blog to hold myself accountable to the routines I have in place and some new routines and habits I want to create.

Just a few things about me (outside of being a mom of two boys and a wife). I couldn’t live in a world without books, podcasts, Bravo (the Housewives are my favorite sports team), coffee, cross-stitch, planners, and my sneakers. I mostly love anything that lets me be sedentary, but I do try to get in a walk almost everyday for my sanity. I also have a Masters in Counseling, and I’m a Certified Life Coach through The Life Coach School.

I hope you stick around and find some inspiration to help you stop thinking you’re losing your mind, and start feeling more fulfilled with this mom thing.
