About Me

Hi, I’m Kristen!

Does this sound familiar to you?

I start to feel more and more agitated as I watch my two boys flailing their arms and wiggling around while avoiding eating their breakfast. Despite asking them nicely to stop fooling around, they just keep at it.

I’m on the brink of throwing my smoothie across the room, but instead I
provide them with the somewhat calmer message that I need them to listen by
loudly saying, “I’m about to lose my mind! PLEASE, stop fooling around and focus on your breakfast!”

Now, this is all before 7 am.

It’s a lovely way to start the day. Blood pressure already through the roof. And I am sounding more like a dictator than a loving mother.

So I wish I could say I started this blog to share with you how I am now a reformed yeller and my mornings are peaceful and everyone gets out the door with a smile on their face…

But the truth is, I started this blog to share with you the reality of life, so you don’t feel like you are alone in the dictatorship of motherhood.

However, I have learned some things along the way in the form of routines that help your days run a bit smoother and allow more joy and productivity in your life.

I’m someone who thrives on routines and I’m obsessed with learning about other people’s routines and habits. Therefore, this blog was a no brainer for me.

I hope to teach and inspire you to be intentional with your time by using routines and habits so that you can actually enjoy your day and your family.

I also intend on using this blog to hold myself accountable to the routines
I have in place and some new routines and habits I want to create.

Just a few things about me (outside of being a mom of two young boys and a
wife). I will be turning 40 this summer and truly feel like I’m living with the
brain of a 25 year old, but the body of someone who is…almost 40. I couldn’t
live in a world without books, podcasts, Bravo (the Housewives are my favorite
sports team), coffee, cross-stitch, planners, and my sneakers. I mostly love
anything that lets me be sedentary, but I do try to get in a walk almost every
day for my sanity.

I hope you stick around and find some inspiration to help you stop thinking
you are losing your mind, and start feeling more fulfilled with this mom thing.
